Indonesia Guide: South Korea Tourist Visa Application

Check out the requirements for Indonesian travelers seeking to visit Korea.

The Rundown

  • The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Indonesia requires Indonesian visa applicants to submit a set of documents that certify their employment (or enrollment) and financial capability.

  • As of April 2018, visa fees must be paid through a designated bank.

  • Single-entry visa costs $40 or Rp 544,000.

  • If you’re going to Korea soon, make sure to get this T-Money card to save some money on subway fares.

South Korea Tourist Visa Requirements: Indonesia

Here are the requirements listed on Kedutaan Besar Republik Korea di Indonesia website:

  1. Accomplished Application form with 1 photo attached

  2. Copy of passport and OECD-member country visas, if applicable

  3. Certificate of Employment for Employees or Copy of Business Registration Certificate for Self-employed Individuals or Certificate of Enrollment for Students

  4. Certificate of Bank Balance, SPT, & Pay Statements for Employees & Self-employed or Bank Statement and SPT of the applicant or parents for Students

  5. Copy of Family Relationship Certificate

  6. If invited by a Korean company, submit a letter of invitation, a copy of the business registration certificate of the inviting company, a letter of guarantee, and a copy of the representative's ID card.

  7. Submit a standard admission letter if intending to study abroad.

  8. For stays in Korea for 90 days or more, submit a tuberculosis certificate issued by the embassy-designated hospital.

Note that proof of flight ticket and hotel reservation is not required to be submitted.

  2. Salinan paspor dan paspor Manusia sahangran

  3. Karyawan: Sertifikat pekerjaan; Wirausaha: Salinan sertifikat pendaftaran bisnis; Siswa: Sertifikat pendaftaran

  4. Karyawan & wiraswasta: Sertifikat saldo bank, SPT, Bayar pernyataan; Pengusaha & Penganggur: Sertifikat saldo bank dari pasangan atau keluarga Sertifikat Pembayaran Pajak (SPT); Siswa: Pernyataan bank atau sertifikat pembayaran pajak (SPT) dari pemohon atau orang tua

  5. Salinan sertifikat hubungan keluarga

  6. Jika ada perusahaan undangan domestik dan tamu undangan, surat undangan, salinan sertifikat pendaftaran perusahaan dari perusahaan undangan, surat jaminan, salinan kartu identitas perwakilan

  7. Untuk tujuan seperti belajar di luar negeri, surat penerimaan standar

  8. Sertifikat tuberkulosis yang dikeluarkan oleh rumah sakit yang ditunjuk kedutaan selama 90 hari atau lebih lama

Kartu reservasi tiket dan akomodasi tidak tunduk pada pemeriksaan visa dan tidak perlu diserahkan.

Visa Application Fees

Here are the visa fees applicable for various visa types:

  1. Single-entry Korean Visa (Visa tunggal): $40 or Rp 544,000 (If you visit Korea once within 90 days for sightseeing, business meetings, event attendance, marriage immigration, visiting relatives, etc.)

  2. Single-entry Korean Visa for stays longer than 90 days (Visa tunggal): $60 or Rp 816,000 (workers, study abroad, language training, etc.)

  3. Double-entry Korean Visa (Visa Ganda): $70 or Rp 952,000 (If you visit Korea twice within 6 months for sightseeing, business meetings, event attendance, marriage immigration, visiting relatives, etc.)

  4. Multiple-entry Korean Visa (Visa Berganda): $90 or Rp 1,224,000 (Unlimited number of visits up to 30 days within 5 years for sightseeing, business meetings, event attendance, marriage immigration, visiting relatives, etc.)

Note: Fees are to be paid in local currency.  (Biaya dibayarkan dalam mata uang lokal.)

Effective April 9, 2018, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Indonesia has changed the method of payment of visa application fee. Earlier, cash payment method was accepted at the counter. However, this was changed to visa fee payment to a designated bank. Below are the details:

  • Location: Jl. Jenderal Gatot Subroto Kav.58, Jakarta (1/F Korea Center Building)

  • Hours: 08: 00-15: 00 weekday

  • Method of payment: Cash purchase

  • Contact: 021-2902-3424

  • Note: KEB Hana Bank customers can automatically withdraw from their account.

Biaya aplikasi untuk penerbitan visa dibayarkan ke bank yang ditunjuk dan dilampirkan pada formulir aplikasi penerbitan visa yang diterima di bagian penerima visa bagian konsuler.
